Social Entrepreneurship

For those of you who have know idea what social entrepreneurship ship is I would like to welcome you to the club. From our classroom to around the world people just can't seem too grasp the concept of social entrepreneurship. If in the end its all about money then how can it really be a social venture. Wouldn't it be a business venture looking to exploit a certain target market rather than helping them? Either way you look at it people are still going to try to maximize profits or contributions. How do you feel about social entrepreneurship? Right or wrong?

  2. This week we have figured that seg4vets is no longer a option for us we are researching on how to see if AARP is feasible to look at. For our Dars organization we have found out that they seek employment and assist disabled people find job opportunities.

  4. We conducted on a survey on a disabilities forum to see what people think about the Segway and the SegSaddle. Out of the 589 people surveyed 37% used some sort of device for mobility and out of all the people survey about 25% were interested in using it for mobility whether they need it now or may possibly need it in the future. When we asked if they would be more interested if it had a seat the number increased 11%. We did however come across our biggest concern, 58% thought the Segway was to expensive. If people cannot afford the Segway how will they afford the SegSaddle?

  5. Well we are leaning towards our social project not being feasable. We have tried AARP, Seg4Vets, Insurance Companies and Segways and to no suprise they all shot us down. The price just seems to high and people dont want to even deal with us without the segway.
